The Sounds je švedski bend oformljen u Helsingborgu čiju muziku porede, zbog vokala ali i muzičkog stila, sa legendarnom Blondie. Stvar „Painted by Numbers“ je sa albuma „Dying to Say This to You“ iz 2006 godine. Bend The Sounds na pomenutom albumu sarađuje sa producentom Jeff Saltzman-om, poznatom po produciranju prvog albuma grupe The Killers „Hot Fuss“.
